Weekend

A week ago, Friday 19th November, it was my birthday. No, there wasn't any celebration, instead, just a nice candle-light-dinner with Jessie. We had our dinner at Zen, along East Coast Park's Marine Cove...

It was my first time dining in Zen. I have to say the embience is nice... Somehow makes me feel calm and peaceful like... Zen. But most importantly, the food actually tastes as good as it looks!

They called it 'Kobe Beef Steak'. Look and tastes special!

A Tiramisu ice cream!

Honestly, the food and decoration is really GOOD. Every dishes, including the appetizers to the sides, taste delicious! The ambience over there is nice too.

The only thing I do not really like about is the service, it falls only on average. Why? Because while me and Jessie were taking photos of ourselves, the waiter keeps turning his head trying to peek, it is like so unprofessional and rude! But other than this unprofessional habit of the waiter, the rest of his service are still fine.

Asked the waiter to take this picture for us, but as u can see he has unprofessional photo-taking skills too...

After the nice dinner at Zen, we headed over to Teo Heng KTV in Katong Shopping Centre for some singing before heading back home.

The next evening, we had dinner in Sakae Sushi with Jerlin and her husband before heading down to Bedok's Cash Studio Family KTV together.

It was my first time at Cash Studio, but I must say that the services, price rates, and music system is considerably good compared to other established KTVs' like KBox or Party World.

The next afternoon, with Jerlin and her husband again, we met up and went Plaza Singapura for a walk, but this time we brought our kids along!

Mm... The above picture, doesn't Elvis looks a little like one famous cartoon bird?

kimjunhong.blogspot.com
LOL!

After we arrived in Plaza Singapura, we had a early dinner in Swensons, then we went to have a look at the popular 'Baby Spa' located on the 3rd floor of Plaza Singapura.

We were deciding whether to let Elvis try the 'Baby Swim', 'Baby Massage', or both...

Actually I told Jessie that it is better not to let Elvis go for neither of these, because Elvis wasn't in a very good mood on that evening, I'm afraid his loud cries will affect their business and also frustrates the Masseuse!

In the end, we decided to only let him try the 'Baby Massage' as we have already brought the 'Baby Swim' set at home!

Massaging...

So like I have guessed and said above, Elvis wasn't in a good mood that evening.

He was crying loudly while he was being massaged, and yes I can feel the Masseuse and the lady-boss wasn't too happy because his cryings will affect their business.

The lady-boss even told me this, but in a polite way, she said Elvis isn't feeling too good today and maybe we should come back another day!

But like all commission-depending workers, the Masseuse told us that she should be able to complete the massage for Elvis, and she quickly continued and finished it up! What the...?

Talking about the 'Baby Swim', I let Elvis tried it out last Monday at home!

Btw, the 'Baby Swim' thing is basically a huge basin filled with warm water, then you put a float designed to rest around the baby's neck, and let the baby float on the water! Simple!

Filling it up...

kimjunhong.blogspot.com

Do you know what is the most difficult thing about this 'Baby Swim'?

It is the filling up of water!

It took me an hour to fill that tub to just half of it!! Seriously, I estimated that you will need like almost 100 large bottles of Coke of fill it up to half!

Just imagining taking one hour to fill half of it! I did not just use a full flowing tap to fill it up, I continously used a large pail, filled it with water (from another tap), and pour it in too! Not to mention that I used 4 large soup-boiler to boil for hot water!

The duration for the swim is supposed to be at a recommended 10 - 15 mins, but unfortunately, Elvis's swimming session only lasted like less than 1 min... He was too frightened.

Anyway I think I should stop my post here, it is getting late! And oh yes, my internet connection is really freaking SLOW at this moment!! It has been like this for the last 5 hours!! Argh!

I will update some other time !
