I completed this post a couple of days ago. Spending more than 3 hours! But when I tried to publish it, there was an error, and all my effort went into waste!
Now, I got to redo this post all over from scratch AGAIN!
Like a blink of an eye, the 15 days period of Chinese New Year is over.
Here are the pictures of my CNY 2011.
Starting with pictures from Chinese New Year's Eve...
Like every other Chinese families, we had our reunion dinner on eve of CNY...
Prepared by my mother
Of course, how could we miss out the popular dish of CNY...?
Yu Sheng!
Yu Sheng bought from Marriot Hotel
Adding in the abalones
Elvis waiting...
Almost done...
My eyes are on the abalones
Elvis prepared himself...
And we begin the prosperous process of "tossing" the Yu Sheng!
Huat lah!
After our reunion dinner, we played a session of Mah Jong before heading to bed.
Well, that is of course, except me.
I only managed to fall asleep at 8 AM!

On day 1 of CNY, only having to slept a couple of hours, I woke up feeling so tired but at the same time excited.
Don't you have this special feeling upon waking up on the first day of CNY? I don't know about you, but I always do!
Jessie bought this dress for Elvis specially for CNY

Prepared chairs for family portrait
Every year, we will a picture of a family portrait before we head out for CNY visiting’s.
It is almost like a yearly tradition that we started half a dozen years ago!

After the photo takings,
That is the receiving of red packets from parents!
Elvis receiving his very first CNY red packet!
Halfway through, Elvis got impatient with it and busted out crying!
Explosion!
I always call Elvis ‘explosion’ when he explodes!
He usually gets a little out of control each time it happens, and so,
I quickly handed him over to my Dad!
*LOL* Look at my Dad’s expression!
After it was done, Jessie & I headed over to
my parents & grand-parents in-law’s house for visiting.
Jessie & myself
As it was the year of the rabbit,
Jessie and I decided to pose with a bunny doll for photos…

I was trying to get the bunny’s ears to appear behind my head!
After my in-laws’ houses, we head over to my grand-parent’s house for visiting,
and later to my aunt’s house for visiting and dinner before heading home.

This year, it was a very different CNY for me, it wasn’t and isn’t going to be the same as all the previous exciting CNYs I had before.
Why? Because I was ‘disqualified’ from receiving any more red packets from this year onwards. Instead, I was ‘promoted’ and giving out red packets this time round! Luckily, I still have my son to take my place of receiving red packets… *laughs*
On the second day of CNY, we went for a house visiting in the afternoon before going down to River Ang Bao for a walk…
During the house visiting, something caught my attention…
Ever seen an apple tree??

IT IS AN APPLE TREE!
It looks as though someone took a bite out of this apple!
So unique to have a apple tree in the house! The apple even looks tasty!

Act blur…
After the house visiting, we headed down to River Ang Bao to meet Jessie’s mother, brother, cousins and nephews…
On the way…

Frankly speaking, I used to love going to River Ang Bao… Until they relocated it to the floating platform!
In the early 2000s, River Ang Bao used to be fun with interesting things to see and good food to eat! It made me wanted to visit it yearly! But ever since they relocated it to the floating platform, it suddenly seems so boring, and I wasn’t excited to visit River Ang Bao anymore.
Oh yah, the food and drinks totally sucks!
That evening, I bought a pack of chewing gums from a pharmacy, and Jessie was chewing on it after we got home.
Later, she was looking for a place to discard the chewing gum. So, lying on her bed, she held the piece of chewed gum high above her face and wondering where to discard it (she was obviously lazy to get up from the bed).
I saw what she was doing and I immediately told her not to accidentally drop the piece of gum on her hair.
I guess most of you know that it will be a disaster if a chewed gum were ever to stick on your hair! It will be extremely difficult to remove it, even if you were to wash it with shampoo!
Well, that was what I told her. But instead of believing me, she said that I was bullshitting, and even argued with me that I was lying! She even wanted to prove to me that I was bullshitting by sticking the piece of gum on her hair!
Despite repeatedly & seriously warning her that she is going to regret it, she went ahead and sticks the piece of gum on her hair! Omg…
15 minutes later…

Yes, she deeply regretted it.
She did the final resort of snipping off her hair...
Below are the rest of my (random) pictures taken during CNY…
A water fountain in Marina Square
Elvis sleeping so charmingly
A cute t-shirt of Jessie’s
Taken in Pu Tien restaurant
Jessie’s new lap top
Jessie’s new lap top is a Sony Vaio.
With 2.8 GHz, 6 GB ram, and large crystal clear LCD screen, it is worth the money! Most importantly, it is able install programs like Microsoft’s Expression Web 4 Ultimate, whereby it wasn’t able to be installed in neither my laptop nor my brother’s laptop because of some Microsoft’s .NET program shit! Argh!!

That’s about all for now.
Just one last thing before I sign off...
As you know red packets comes in many different designs; I would like to share my favourite red packet design I’ve received during CNY (Well, actually it was my son who received it)
Check it out…

The smallest one!
It was a special-looking red packet! So small and compact, it will almost make you felt like you are receiving the person’s namecard when the person passes it to you!
I’m sure this red packet is custom-made. In fact, the husband & wife’s names are printed on it!
Noticed the names?
Haha, I will love to have a custom-made red packet for next year’s CNY!
