Like I've said, Ong Bak 3 was the action movie I've been eagerly waited for years! Finally, I managed to watch it last Tuesday! And so, I got 2 words to say about this movie... It was...
Tremendously disappointing!!!
Seriously, Ong Bak 3 is the worst action movie I've watched this year, and it is also the worst Tony Jaa's movie!
I've always gave very high ratings, at least 9 and above for Tony Jaa's movies like Ong Bak 1, Ong Bak 2, and Tom Yum Gong! And these are one of my favorite action movies! Therefore I expected Ong Bak 3 to be as good as them, but to my tremendous disappointment it wasn't even half as good.
Why?
-- Very bad story line/plot.
-- Very little fight scenes.
-- Bad cheoreographed fights compared to past Tony Jaa's movies.
-- Many long boring scenes.
-- Alot of extremely long draggy scenes
What I hate most about this movie is the many long draggy scenes. The number of draggy scenes will make you feel like you have been cheated off your money!
In the past Tony Jaa's movies, they are lots of impressive major fights and actions spreaded throughout the entire movie, but for Ong Bak 3 there is only ONE major fight which is at the last 20 mins... And it wasn't very impressive by the way.
If anyone of you thinks that this movie is good, then you clearly must not have watch any of the past Tony Jaa's movies.
Well, I really hate to say this but this movie simply sucks! Sigh... Very disappointing!
On a lighter note, I recently watched another movie via online, 'Saints and Soldiers'. Again, it was a war movie, one of my favorite movie genres. I love war movies from Hollywood, and seriously I think I've watched almost all of them! The good ones of course.
Any more recommendations for good war movie from Hollywood that I've not watched yet?
I personally give a ratings of : 8 out of 10
I think the story of the movie is set in the World War One. A very small handful of US soldiers escaped from the Nazi Germany soliders during a massacre of the POW US soliders. With extremely limited resources on them, they must try to survive their dangerous journey back to their command post.
The story doesn't really contain alot of 'fights', instead this movie is showing more on friendship. Inspirating and touching.
While watching this movie, I felt like I was watching 'Band of Brothers', but a movie version from a certain chapter.
Alright, enough of the movies review.
Here are some random photos taken over the past week...
